FAQ

How long should a title tag be?

Google shortens titles by pixel width, not a fixed number of characters. Roughly 50–60 characters usually fit on desktop, but there is no guaranteed limit.

Does the meta description affect rankings?

Google says it isn't used as a ranking signal, but it may be shown as the snippet under your link, which affects whether people click.

Why did Google rewrite my title?

Google sometimes rewrites titles that are very long, stuffed with keywords, the same on many pages, or that don't match the page. A clear, unique title for each page helps.

What are Open Graph and X card tags?

Tags that control how your link looks when shared on social apps and chat: the title, description and image in the preview.

Does this tool change my site?

No. It reads one page like a browser does, and respects robots.txt.

Is it free?

Yes, no sign-up.
